An award-winning teacher and writer, Judy Molland has keenly observed and actively participated in the world of education for over twenty-five years, both in the United States and in her native England. She holds a B.A. Honors degree from the University of Hull, England, and a Diploma in Education from the University of London Institute of Education. Beginning her career as a classroom teacher, a role from which she continues to derive great satisfaction, she has also been writing about education for over ten years. Since 1998, Judy has been Contributing Education Editor with Dominion Parenting Media, the largest syndicate of parenting magazines in the U.S., and she has numerous articles featured on Parenthood.com. Her writing has also appeared in several other publications including Parents, Instructor, New York Newsday, Metro Kids, and Chicago Parent. Passionate about education, she loves pursuing her dual career of teacher/writer.
Judy began her teaching career at Rotherhithe Junior School in London, England. Her first position in the U.S. was with the Yellow Brick Road Kindergarten School in Berkeley, California, and she has since taught at all grade levels from fourth to twelfth, in both the public and the private arena, in places as diverse as Simi Valley, California, Brooklyn, New York, and Rockville, Maryland. She currently teaches part time in Mountain View, California. Judy resides in Redwood City, California, with her husband.
